Murton had the first 75 games to showcase himself. Although I agree that he needs more time, he was given a decent amount so far. Just take Joe Crede. He was really close to being traded last year, then he has a great final quarter of the season, a great playoffs, and a great year this year. It takes time.

Wasn't there a thread a while back that 6 Cubs players hated Dusty? Was it just a rumor or was there confirmation on that?

Sure. Murton, Williamson, Guzman, Wuertz, Walker and Hill. Boom.

Joe Crede is a bad example because, well, he's a bad baseball player.

And the Sox have a better 3b in the minors to boot.

So what Williamson said isn't valid b/c he isn't pitching well and because Murton isn't a franchise player? Some people are unbelievable.

Don't forget ex-Cub Hairston, he wasn't exactly a fan of Baker's. Jerome Williams, isn't a fan of Baker. But hey as long as Nevin, Perez, Rusch, and Pierre are happy with their playing times, who cares about the rest of those bums, right?

I'm still waiting for the "Players' Manager" persona of Baker to kick in. But hey while I wait, maybe I could win the lottery.

The Cubs need to get Murton in the weight room. Even if he doesn't take anything, he'll have more power next year.

The Cubs don't need to get Murton in the weight room, they need to get him on the field. This organization has no concept of player development. Ever since Baker's fishing buddies joined this coaching staff, these players have rotted. No position player has ever developed under Dusty Baker unless you are willing to count Rich Aurilia. That's 1 player in almost 15 years of managing. That sucks. Look at the ever growing list of young players in SF who were traded/dfa/etc under Baker and developed nicely. It's starting to grow in Chicago. Sure, Williamson exaggerated a bit, but he basically stated the truth and I'm dissapointed that he backed off it. This team sucks.
