DOUBLE! SWITCH!

sooo Howry is going to close this out, or is the double switch just so dusty could get another one in?

Geez....can any of these Cubs pitchers keep a guy in the park?

If they lose this game, I swear I won't watch another single Cubs inning the rest of this season....

I've lost a ton of interest. I'm really watching this because I got nothing else to do. Now, if a managerial change is made, and some moves are made, and some kids play, then I'll have to check some of it out.

Another brilliant double switch by Baker...

That was not a double switch.... jones entered the game as a pinch hitter and stayed in.

Still stupid.

Hey now...don't call Fred stupid!

That's not going to endear him to Baker...

I was just listening to Sox radio (670) and Farmer commented on Williamson's comments today (intimating that Baker was playing favorites). Right before the homerun Farmer said, player should stay out of the manager's head and go out and play). I have to agree...

If a player is willing to go out and say those things, the manager has more problems that a player getting in his head.

I think it says a lot about the player (and it isn't positive). IIRC, it was Williamson who fueled the rumor that the Cubs might try to trade him at the beginning of the season because he said he still wanted to close. I didn't think that was appropriate (just like today's comments). The guy has the ability to be a great pitcher but with his injury past and propensity for wildness he should just shut up...
