The Cubs will Sweep the Sox.

This will Earn Dusty a 5 year extension.

We will proceed to lose the next 23 games.

Dusty will still play all the crappy veterans claiming that we are not mathematically eliminated yet, so he can't start planning for next year.

Hendry will make no moves, with the possible exception of trading away young guys for veterans to finish out year trying to spark the team to make it back to .500...

Because that means we had a good year...

Cubs lineup per ESPN

4-3

Walker

Lee

Ramirez

Jones

Nevin

Barrett

Cedeno

Marshall

Tiny bit hazy, the 6-7 might be reversed but I'm pretty sure its like this

I was just skimming and thought 4-3 was the date or something, and thought Walker was actually leading off. I almost had a heart attack, until I realized 4-3 was first.

Shorten it to "43" and you have the best nickname for JP that I've ever heard.

Excellent! You'd think someone who used to be an official scorer for college would have been a little quicker on the uptake.

have I mentioned that I really really hate the white sox ?

Go CUBS !!

Dusty said on the pregame that he battled with putting Barrett 7th because he wasn't sure how good his stroke would be after the 10 game suspension...

The Cubs are going to win today as well as the series!

I dunno, if the Sox sweep the Cubs in this series, I could see people getting rabid enough that Hendry might actually make a move and fire some one.

Granted, it'd probably be some one useless like Sarge, but hey.

Just now.

Harrelson quick to say...."I don't know what the big deal is AJ hit Barrett a HELL of a lot harder than Barrett hit AJ"

If he keeps saying it, maybe he'll finally believe it.

He already did, in a way -- Womack. My guess if someone from the coaching staff goes: either Juan Lopez or Sonny Jackson.

He is the most ridiculous homer in the announcing business. Way over the top. Much worse than any Yankees sycophant.

Is Konerko playing? I benched him on my fantasy team on the assumption that Thome would start....

I think I read somewhere that Thome was starting at first on Saturday so I think Konerko is in to day and Sunday.

I hope Marshall shuts em down but realistically, this doesn't look good on paper. Hopefully Marshall is sharp and the offense shows up. Otherwise its lambs to the slaughter.

I'm afraid.

I think that the people in the bleachers will be dodging baseballs today.

Brenly: "First 2 games of this series figure to be offensive slugfests."

Uh, with the Cubs offense? You sure you've seen every game this season Bobby?

Translation: Brenly thinks the Sox will poiund the Cubs first two starting pitchers.
