Man...if we only hadn't wasted Neifi earlier we could use him to replace this lee guy here...where is Womack when you need him?

Who was sent down when Williams was called up?

He replaces Womack on the roster. Correct?

Williamson?

Ok, I'm officially confused. Williamson called up to fill the roster spot left by Womack. Jerome Williams still in minors as far as I know.

Here from Cubs.com:

The Chicago Cubs today recalled catcher Geovany Soto from Triple-A Iowa and activated right-handed pitcher Scott Williamson from the 15-day disabled list. In addition, the Cubs optioned infielder Tony Womack and right-handed pitcher David Aardsma to Iowa.

That is the latest roster moves.

If they were going to intentionally walk him, they'd have left Brian Shouse in. Turnbow's job is to get people out, not arrange the baserunners in proper fashion.

that last pitch was right down the middle and he couldnt hit it

Turnbow has some pretty nasty stuff, and while Derrek Lee is good, well, even the best hitters make outs 2/3 of their at-bats. Lee is also coming off a broken wrist, which can throw off your swing.

This is true, yet I've seen other managers, including Baker, bring a reliever in only to have him IBB the first guy he sees. Stupid move.

Yes, yes it is. Over at brewerfan we're expressing some surprise that Yost actually brought in Turnbow to face a hitter in the ninth.
