Yay Big Z off the hook for now, that's all I care about really now is that Z doesn't look bad from this mess.

Yep. I'm glad Z isn't in line for the loss right now.

I fully expect us to lose the game when Dusty double switches Mabry and Novoa for Lee and Z.

Dusty is not the only dunce managing as the Milwaukee manager is no bargain either. He should have pulled the rookie pitcher when he had a chance to win the game with his high pitch count. Just like last night he left in Capauano with a six run lead in the nineth and he got hit on the hand. I don't care for that kind of managing at all!

that lasted :x It seems when Z doesn't have his best stuff, but the Cubs come back to tie it late he always give the lead back right away.

Has Jacque thrown out ANYONE all year? Ever?

He has one assist this year, but I can't remember it.

To be fair to Jacque, no one runs on him because of his reputation as having a cannon for an arm, so he doesn't get many chances to throw people out.

In other news, Ricky Nolasco went 6 1/3 gave up 3 runs struck out 5 and walked 1 and got the win. He now has a 3.26 ERA.

Man Pierre sure is worth it.

If Pierre had been performing to his career levels before this year, I would have been fine with that trade.

"We like a lot of things about Jacque," Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said Tuesday in announcing the deal. "He's a very versatile guy. We were very intent on trying to get a left-handed hitter. He's very athletic, has some pop in his bat, an outstanding throwing arm. He's a versatile player and had a lot of upside in him."
