heh, murton getting the choi/dubois treatment...gets his ab's against the good pitchers.

There was no other position player left on the bench, was there ?

Nope. He was it. Glad we have 7 pitchers down there in the bullpen and an emergency catcher as our back-up catcher. The Cubs are run so well.

no, but if bynum's good enough to start against a righty, why not let him hit there? similarly, why ph walker for neifi when you brought neifi in a few innings earlier to play 2b?

guess baker's got to get his double switch fix in somehow.

It does boggle the mind at times.

Haha. Cedeno sitting on the bench looking like he wants to kill someone. Gotta be getting old losing all the time.

That is why if you're Cedeno keep playing all out, continue to prove yourself and when the time comes get out of Dodge.

Since I didn't watch this at all, how did Prior look?

He looked much better this time. He was hitting 92-94 consitently on the gun with a high of 95. Still wild though. Missed his spots by quite a bit. His curve ball was so-so. Still wasn't as sharp as it has been in the past, but he was able to get it over the plate a lot more. His fastball had a lot of movement on it tonight which was a complete change from his last outing. He showed flashes of the Prior of old tonight. It was fun to watch.

Prior brings his good stuff, and the Cubs get shut out. It's good that the Cubs haven't forgotten how to play when he's on the hill.

So how did Prior look today? Obviously he looked better than in his first start but how much better?

Thank you. I don't know where your initial post was but I didn't feel like going through the whole game thread, even with how short it is. Good to know he made some progress.
