What network are yall watching the game on? I'm on FSN Southwest and the Astros' announcers are doing a very good job calling the game.

Pale Hose manager goes nuts after the rookie pitcher he puts in to hit a batter misses and finally gets the batter out. Pitcher (Tracey?) is reemed and just about crying in the dugout. Announcers predict he's sent down tomorrow.

Here's a little something to chew on. From Callis ESPN chat:

Kevin (Manassas): What do you think of the Cubs latest rookie Carlos Marmol? For a guy who just started pitching a couple years ago, he looks impressive.

Jim Callis: I like Marmol, and that's my thought as well. He's not just a raw arm-strength guy like a lot of the conversion projects are. He added some polish very quickly. He's legit.

Kevin (Manassas): A lot of people think the Cubs took Tyler Colvin too early, but he has looked good in the CWS. What are your thoughts on Colvin?

Jim Callis: Just when it looked like Oral Roberts might make a run at Omaha, Tyler Colvin happened. I addressed him in my last Ask BA (see baseballamerica.com) -- he wasn't as much as an overdraft as it seemed. Other teams considered him a first-rounder, he was arguably the best college OF after Drew Stubbs, and the Cubs didn't pick again until round five so they had to take Colvin at No. 13 if they really wanted him. Solid tools across the board.

After today's games, we will be ONE game out of last place in the NL Central gentlemen. ONE freaking game. in Mid-June. And no changes look to be on the horizon.

Good with a 100 million dollar payroll if he gets last, Baker has to be canned. Has to be.
