BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH INNING

 

Qualls in to pitch for Houston

Womack, pinch hitting for Perez, walked

Barrett singled down the right field line, Womack to third

Nevin grounded an IF single to short, Womack scored, Barrett to second

Ramirez grounded into a DP, 6-4-3, Nevin out at second, Barrett to third

Jones struck out swinging

 

1 runs, 2 hits, 0 errors, 1 men left on base

if he stops swinging at that away pitch, he'll be an amazing hitter. He just can't stop though.

 

or if he is going to swwing at it then go with the pitch and take it to right.

 

Aramis was always one of the better hitters at taking it to the opposite field. CAn't say that this year thoguh.

I don't understand how Jacque always swings at that inside pitch that trails inside, I don't think it ever looks like a strike yet he always K's on it.

perhaps Dusty made the right move saving Walker, because the pitcher spot is coming up in the 9th.

Except he will use Mabry.
