Murton and Jones first pitch swinging.

Murton took a strike first, and Jones as of last Sunday according to the WGN blog had a .652 batting average when swinging at the first pitch. With Jones's problem with swinging at sliders late in the count, I'm fine with him attacking the first pitch if it's good.

Murton swung at the 1st pitch? Gameday says it was a called strike.

If he saw two pitches I missed one of them. Must have blinked at the wrong time.

This strike zone is ridiculous. Apparently the outside corner is down the middle of the plate.

Dempster threw 35 yesterday and looked bad. Can no one else pitch in a 3 run save situation?

Like Novoa or Aardsma?

Nah.

And remember that Dusty was saying that he wanted to stay away from Eyre today. Who was the first arm he warmed up?
