Sorry about the weirdness the past two days. I was visiting Case Western in Cleveland yesterday and today and thought I'd have wireless internet access. Too bad the Hyatt saw fit to want to charge $10 for it...

Raisin, you messed up the match ups a little. Pitching for Round Rock is RHP Jared Gothreaux (2-3, 4.25 ERA).

And, most importantly:

Peoria will have LH Donnie Veal (4-3, 3.21) on the hill against RH Kyle Rogers (0-4, 5.28) at 6:30 PM

It's a DON DAY!!

Gallagher just rang up a 100mph reading on the scoreboard gun.

Good pitching matchup in the Daytona game. No score after 3, St. Lucie SP Devaney has yet to allow a baserunner.

Um...some one should get that radar gun checked.

Heh. He has been throwing pretty consistently at 93ish which the announcers seem to think is close to reality.

Gallagher with a bit of wildness in the 6th. Walks the leadoff hitter, but Harvey comes in with a nice catch in RF and a 9-3 putout on the DP! :) Daytona broadcasters marveling at his arm. :-k

Gallagher walks the next batter, then hits someone in the back with a breaking ball. Bails himself out with a K to end the inning.

Some very nice defensive plays tonight by Daytona.

Matt Craig has the sole Daytona hit so far. No score through 6.

Daytona loads the bases in the top of the 7th with 2 outs, but can't get a run home. Still scoreless after 6.5.

Gallagher done for the night: 6IPs, 4H, 0R, 6K/3BB, HBP, WP, 7GO/5FO. Oh, and a 100mph fastball.

Hunton in for the bottom half of the inning.

Two infield singles and a walk load the bases with no outs in the bottom of the 7th. A sac fly scores a run and all the runners advance. :(

A sac fly scores another run, but Daytona gets the DP by trapping a runner between 2nd and 3rd.

2-0 St Lucie to the 8th.

The bottom pretty much falls out in the 8th. St Lucie now leading 5-0 ... 7-0 ...

When Dope was picked off at third yesterday, he was inadvertantly spiked. Apparently it was bad to the point that he had to go to the hospital. Brian is in the lineup tonight.

That sucks! Was the 3B sliding back to the back to try and nail him or what? I'm glad to here that he bounced back quickly though, lets go get a dope slap!

Not really sure. All I know is that the Jaxx had the tying run on second with 2 outs in the 9th. Brian was picked off at third to end the game.

My bad. I looked at the wrong page on peoriachiefs.com. Was wondering why Yepez didn't match up with my own notes (which had Veal).

In the post-game show for Daytona, they're talking about how Marmol and Marshall both were promoted to AA last year right after the FSL All-Star game. Zisk told them when the game ended.

They're wondering when Gallagher will be promoted; Ingram believes that tonight will turn out to be his last start in a Daytona uniform.
