This has been a great game, France is really outplaying Italy right now. But my god is Cannavarro unbelievable. He and Buffon have pretty much kept Italy in this game.

That was pretty much akin to Barrett punching out AJP, imo. Italy had it coming, it was highly inappropriate, and incredibly hilarious.

Barthez is gonna have to come up huge in PK's if it gets there for France to win. No Zidane, Henry, or Ribery for them. Plus they have to go against Buffon.

That guy was chipping at him all game, but it wasn't that. Zidane was walking away and letting it go, and the guy must've said something, because Zidane just snapped and went right back at him. It's not like it's surprising that an Italian player would say something very out-of-line to a French player.

I wouldn't say that his headbutt invalidates their WC victory in '98 or their Euro Cup victory in '00. It was stupid, and hurt them in this game. That's all.
