That was a great match by TnT. They really played exceptional defense, and did a great job considering the coach, controversy, playing a man down, etc...

However, I know a tie is great in soccer, especially tournament play. But I cant be happy over a tie. A tie is like kissing your sister. But, they played a terrific match, and I'm glad they did well.

Don't think of it as a tie. Think of it as getting a point.

Good point, but its still a tie. They should all have to kiss their sisters.

When I used to coach tournament ball, I wasnt happy with a tie, but it was better than a loss, plus you get points.

I'm not alone in saying that I can't watch soccer when the announcers are both American, am I? It's like they can't bring themselves to be genuinely excited about anything.

This is why I thoroughly enjoy Telemundo and Telefutura. :D

Agreed, as well.

Wow, that ball looked over. I think they got robbed.

And congrats to T+T. Only saw the end, but that was big.

Did the Ivory Coast's keeper lose his balance? I can't figure why he fell to his knees before that goal, it killed any chance he had of stopping Crespo's shot.

Looked like he slipped and fell.

Man, Ivory Coast is getting plenty of opportunities down near Argentina's goal, but they can't pull the trigger.

What, no offsides???

I had to turn back to ESPN2 for the reasoning. Apparently it was "passive" offsides.

If the guy who is offsides isn't involved in the pass/play, there's no call.

Yeah, that was written in response to the play when it happened, not the replay, haha.

Ivory Coast has no defense, needless to say.

this commentator (shep messing???) is almost as annoying as DOB. i swear if he says "oh baby!" or "for all you new viewers..." and then proceeds to explain the basic offside rule again, or make a basketball analogy one more time... well, i probably wont do anything, but i'll be increasingly annoyed.

ivory coast needs to put away their chances. they wont be able to come back after being that wasteful.

How the heck was that a yellow and why the heck weren't they allowed to finish the play?

Does not knowing Spanish take anything away from this broadcast? I say no. Especially since the color guy sounds a little like Stephen Colbert.
