Rhetorical managerial question - Dusty versus Ozzie

Would Ozzie have a better record with this Cubs team than Dusty. What do you think he would do different? Also, could Dusty win with the Sox team they have now. The first thing he probably would do is trade for Neifi.

No question Ozzie would be better. He is just a winning, and aggressive manager... While Dusty is a player manager who gives up and starts making double switches too early.

 

I dont know how Dusty would do in the American League, where there arent any double switches... But the Sox team they have now is healthy.

the white sox would be slightly worse with dusty and the cubs would be slightly better with ozzie.

 

the white sox are good and the cubs suck no matter who is managing.

It's really impossible to tell with the differences between leagues. So much more has to be accounted for without the DH.

Well... the whole "base clogging" philosophy will be completely gone... So OBP would considerabally rise. On top of that, less aggressive hitters. Consistent line-ups, benching struggling players like Pierre, and being unafraid to criticize a player would also be in effect.

Also, our pitchers would be healthier, while the Sox's pitchers will be on the DL the whole time. Macoviawk would be used a lot more, so would Cintron.

My only hope would be that Ozzie make Neifi all-time bat boy and recorder of the various hand shakes/ high five routines in the dugout.

Both tough guys - Baker a traditional street tough type, and Guillen is a real scrappy fella.

 

Baker has the size and reach on him, but Guillen is a mean little prick, and would fight dirty.

 

I would take Guillen in a ten round spilt decision.
