Ozzie speaks good english. He needs to stop making enemies, but I would take him over Dusty any day.

Speaks good English???

Are you serious? Most people can't understand a word he says. He does pronounce the vulgarities surprisingly well, however.

are you saying most people because you don't understand him? i can understand him clearly just as often as i understand baker.

He managed the pitching staff well and wasn't afraid to be creative with the bullpen. I think Ozzie's managerial strength is that he isn't afraid to challenge convention. This will likely also be his downfall.

FWIW you don't really need to be intelligent to be a good manager, or a good player for that matter.

I was asking if he was an "intelligent player". I'm not looking for ACT/SAT/IQ scores or anything of the sort.

Fair point. I will say that you don't have to have been an intelligent player to be a good coach either.

Same here. Ozzie has a thick accent, but he speaks english with it just fine.

There's a difference between using good grammar and complete sentense structure and having an overwhelming accent that makes it difficult to understand English

This should absolutely answer your question:

A photo of Ozzie kissing his son in a traditional Venezuelan manner answers what now?

It was a joke.

One that was told numerous times last October. I'm not sure the implication of his sexual orientation would have anything to do with intelligence anyways. But that's a can of worms we don't want to open again, right?

Killjoy.

Yeah, it's totally his fault you told a joke that was unfunny at best and prejudicial at worst.

I don't know if I'd call using the F word every 5th word good grammar and sentence structure.
