i thought the bullpen was this team's strength?

howry and eyre have been really good. sorry.

 

yes, they have. Rusch and Novoa were the ones who stunk up the joint

 

who said rusch and novoa would be strong out of the pen?

 

the supposed pen strength was eyre, howry and dempster. unfortunately, dempster has sucked recently. few saw that coming tho.

 

Saw what coming? All things point to him most likely being hurt at this point given his missing velocity in his last few appearances. He's crapping the bed because he's missing a pitch, not because he's tanking with his "closer stuff," as some have rather gleefully predicted.

perhaps he's hurt.

 

prior to the season the back of the pen was considered a major strength. people were pretty confident in dempster.

And they still should be. The man has done too much to just be tossed out at this point. I'd lay big money he's injured and hasn't just "lost it."
