At least he's doing an above average job of driving in himself.

You figure he can do that better from the 4th spot than the 6th, eh?

More at bats. There only needs to be 3 additional baserunners to get him up there a 4th time.

I just don't have a problem giving that one extra at bat per week to Barrett.

04/26 - 05/24 AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
Barrett 67 6 20 2 3 2 34 3 9 7 0.299 0.390 0.507 0.897
Ramirez 97 14 26 7 1 6 53 14 6 8 0.268 0.321 0.546 0.867

Barrett has been better this season cumulatively, but Ramirez has been more productive over the last 3 years. I think Aram's got a better shot to produce.

I agree with you completely over the long term. But, it you'll remember, my original comment was for the short term. I wouldn't mind seeing Barrett stay in the cleanup spot a while longer. For the time being, he is more productive than Ramirez.

No Womack in today's lineup, but our savior is in the 2-hole and fast-Freddie in LF:

1. Pierre CF

2. Neifi 2b

3. Walker 1b

4. Barrett C

5. Jones RF

6. Ramirez 3b

7. Bynum LF

8. Cedeno SS

9. Zambrano P

Damn, Carlos...what was up with that 1st inning?

It's frustrating that they'll probably lose the game based on ONE run...sure, Carlos was a walk machine, but he's been on point ever since. This shouldn't be this tricky for ANY offense!

Bynum and Neifi Perez on the field at the same time creates a negative run vortex that sucks everyone in.
