Pierre grounded out to second, 4-3

Liar! That's unpossible.

he got one between the 2B and SS last at-bat, but Clines made an adjustment in his swing so he's back on track again

I take it Murton needed the all-too precious time off.

Perhaps he felt bad for Neifi, and wanted to give him a few more at bats to raise that average.

If the Cubs were even a skotch better, I'd recommend pulling an Earl Weaver for a couple, few weeks, and throw Z out there every third game till Wood and Prior were ready... provided they'll ever BE ready.

I think that would be terrible no matter how good they were. You could easily see Carlos end up like Wood and Prior within a year. I can see going to the 4 man rotation, but you have to prepare guys for that, don't just thrust it on them in the middle of the season.

Todd Walker, in my dreams this team wises up, signs you back next year and bats you leadoff where you belong.

Maybe Z's power is TOO overwhelming in the pinstripes, like Samson and his hair...MLB has secretly dictated that he must tone it down with the blue jersey since 485-mph fastballs are just a LITTLE unfair.

Carlos is a robot. That whole "stiffness from the internet" thing last year was a stall until more oil was special ordered.

I've got Mike and the Mad Dog on in the background. The 20/20 update guy keeps saying the Cubs are without Michael Barrett today after he was suspended for 10 days. This guy works on a sports talk show, he has for years. His life revolves around the sports show, and this show always talks about baseball. How are you not aware that suspensions are never served immediately?

Yes. Society dictated that everyone had to be equal.

He's up over 90 pitches. If this inning lasts much longer, I hope Dusty gets somebody up. I don't want to see no 150 pitch individual accomplishment. If he can give you 7 innings with only 1 run given up, you should take it.
