With the employment agency. Because I want him Fired. The thought that his job might be on the line has to have crossed his mind watching this team spiral into the abyss while he sits on his hands making excusses, making NO MOVES (even minor ones) to make some positive changes, to shake this team up. .

if hendry is fired, MacPhail is admitting a mistake. same goes for hendry firing baker. same goes for the trib firing MacPhail. unfortunately, it looks like no heads will roll. rather incompetence (baker) will be rewarded.

i wouldn't be surprised if the white sox become the darlings of the city. i thought last year was a fluke, but looks like they could take it this year too.

Not going to happen. Hendry already got his extension, so I seriously doubt they will fired him about month after re-upping.

The White Sox should become the darlings. They have a great manager, a great strategy, players who fit that strategy, and a GM who knows what it takes to win. That must be nice.

Ozzie is no genius...Fans give him far too much credit. When you have that lineup with a healthy pitching staff that gives you 6-7 innings just about every start you are going to win and win often. How many moves does Ozzie actually make during a game? Give the credit to the GM Williams, this is his team, and a fine team at that.

1. Healthy pitching staff - Ozzie pulls his pitchers at 110 pitches - 115 max. Do you think the fact that the Cubs starting pitchers are hurt so often is just bad luck?

2. How many moves does Ozzie make during a game? If he's smart, not very many. Usually the best thing a manager can do is put his best players on the field and get out of the way. Dusty believes calling for a double switch is making a good move. I'm sure there are cases when it is, but often he is replacing a position player with an inferior bench player.

I really don't follow the White Sox or Ozzie at all, but to say that he uses some common sense in making some of his decisions makes him a great manager really doesn't hold water. Maybe in comparison to Dusty he is much better, but that is not saying much.

Hendry is on the phone all the time....the problem is, it's just to order his 67th meal of the day.

I know the likelihood of Hendry being canned is almost nil, given the extension. And that Andy's job is safe as long as the bottom line keeps up. But it doesn't make sense to say Andy or the Trib wouldn't fire people because it would mean admitting making a mistake. The Trib has fired several people since they've been owners. They've kept Andy on for a long time because up until very recently, this team was on an upward trend and thriving as a business. Andy fired Lynch. He's fired managers as well. The only person this might apply to is Hendry, who has stuck with the same gameplan for years, has never showed an ounce of doubt in Baker. The only exception was the firing of Kim, but by all accounts nobody wanted to do it.

Who cares about Ozzie and the Sox, what I care about is the miserable Cubs who have no idea how to win. Hendry should've been fired last year IMO, and it was a travesty to see him get the extension which he did not deserve. We need competent people to run this org or we are not going anywhere any time soon. The past couple of years under Hendry and Baker having been nothing short of disaster.

On the Score this morning they were saying that MacPhail flew down to Florida, supposedly to "get the tenor of the mood in the clubhouse." I don't know if this was mentioned during the broadcast last night.

Speculation was ripe that a coach or two will soon be sacrificed to appease the angry baseball gods as an interim measure.

Isn't that a Charlie Daniels song?

"MacPhail flew down to Florida,

He was looking for a soul to steal..."

Clines and Sarge?

Knowing this organization, it'll probably be Von Joshua and Pat Listach.

What a joy it would be to see Rothschild, Sarge, Clines and Baker get fired.

I can totally see that happening.
