Iowa trails 3-2 in the bottom of the 5th, but Pie is 3/3 already today including a double with both of Iowa's runs.

Ryu has only allowed 2 hits through 4, but has allowed 3 runs. He also has 1 BB and 3 K's.

Pie is 4 for 4 now. His most recent hit came with Fontenot on 2nd. Fontenot was thrown out at the plate trying to score, however. Felix must have hit it too hard!

Ryu must have decent stuff today. He's getting a lot of ground balls. He has 9 groung ball outs to only 2 fly ball outs. He also had 4 k's so far.

Montanez with an RBI single and Hoffpauir (judging by MiLB's gameday) just missed a 3 run homer. He still got a sac fly out of it making the score 6-3 in Iowa's favor.

Felix flies out to deep LF in the 9th.

Buck Coats had a leadoff double in the 9th followed by a base hit by Fontenot (who is 4/5 today). Kopitzke then had an RBI groundout scoring Coats. Iowa leads 7-3.

Boo! Can you imagine the line if that had left the yard? 6 for 6 with a HR and a 2B.

Guess we'll have to "settle" for 5 for 6.

Pie's 5 for 6 day at the plate boosted his BA from .263 to .283.

Hendry found his reason for giving Dusty an extension.

His OBP went from .324 to .340 and SLG from .449 to .468, as well, so maybe he wouldn't fit on the team.

Hopefully he can regain some consistency and keep that OPS above 800.

Ryu is done as Ligtenberg comes in for the 9th.

Ryu's final line: 8 IP, 3 hits, 3 ER's, 1 BB, 5 K's in just 92 pitches.

Get rid of that kid.

Wrong stat Pedro. If Ryu can't yield at LEAST 5 walks in 8 innings he has no business getting called up to pitch in Chicago.

Eric Patterson has 3 walks in 3 plate appearances tonight... expect for him to be traded or released by Friday.
He'll be traded to Baltimore for Corey. :D

Daytona held on and won 10-8. They did have a 10 run lead at one point.

Peoria won 1-0.

A tale of two cities. :D
