Gallagher off to a rocky start in the first inning. After getting the first out, Sean gave up back-to-back doubles for a run. He then recovers with a K and a groundout, 1-3

Lakeland leads 1-0 after 1 inning.

Gallagher: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1/0

Jake Fox gets a leadoff walk on 4 pitches (they were definitely pitching around him), but Kown then recovers and gets the next 3 outs with ease. In the middle of the second, Daytona is down 1-0.

Gallagher's second inning:

-Leadoff IF single

-Stolen base on a 3-1 count (bad throw from Rick)

-Ground out to the right side of the IF, runner advances to third. 1 out.

-RBI single up the middle. 2-0, Lakeland.

-On a busted hit and run, the runner at first is caught in a rundown and finally tagged out.

-On a 3-2 count, Simokaitis robs a groundball single and throws out the baserunner, 6-3.

Lakeland leads 2-0 after 2 innings.

Peoria now down 3-0 in the bottom of the 6th. 2 wild pitches in the inning and a passed ball led to the 1st run. Fort Wayne then got a 2 run RBI double to make it 3-0.

and yet another WP by Blackford leads to a run. Nathan said they got the runner out at the plate though and it was the worst call he's seen all year.

Blackford is definitely tiring out as he plunks a batter. 4-0 Fort Wayne, still in the 6th.

Blackford now gives up a 2 run homer to make it 6-0. Davis definitely stuck with Blackford an inning too long.

Final line for Blackford: 5 1/3 IP, 9 hits, 6 ER's, 3 BB's, 3 K's, 1 HR, 1 HBP, 3 WP's. The outing definitely was looking like a good one before the 6th for Todd.

I'd have to assume Gallagher's night is done. If so, he recovered well from a tough start and pitched well despite not having his best stuff and control.

Jake Fox with a solo HR to make it 5-2 Daytona. It's his 10th of the season, tying his HR total for 2005.

By the way, Fox was robbed of a HR yesterday (he also hit one yesterday).

Jon Hunton gives up 4R, including a 3R-HR, in the 9th to tie the Daytona game at 6.

The inning ends with a close play at the plate, but a great relay from Fuld - Simokaitis - Rick gets the runner! To the 10th, tied 6-6.

ETA: Fox is DHing today.

Iowa had 2 quick outs to start the bottom of the 7th, but they loaded the bases on a single by Padgett, a double by Fontenot, and a walk by Kopitzke.

Sing is PH'ing for Ryu who had a good outing: 7 IP, 3 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K's, 1 HR allowed.

ugh, Sing K's to end the 7th leaving the bases loaded. Ryu gets a ND. To the 8th, all tied up at 1.
