Did I hear the announcers say that his velocity has been between 89-92 and hit 94 a few times? If so, I know he's pitching well but that doesn't sound good!

Nathan said before that they've been having problems with the gun the past few nights, so he doesn't think that's accurate.

But he also said that he confirmed the first inning scoreboard gun readings with the guys gunning the pitches behind home plate. :?

Let him go his next start! Cubs need a spark... and Wood makes sparks! My fantasy team needs one too.

And that's probably it for Woody as he gets his 12th K.

5 innings. 1 hit. 1 walks. 1 HBP. 12 K's. Bring him up!!!!

Sitting in the 90-92 range with touches of 94 is not bad, especially if he shows more control than he has throughout much of his career. His pitches have always had plenty of movement on them, too.
