the game tonight was *great* - our seats are 17 rows back behind the plate (section 108). Wood looked wonderful, as has already been captured.

For those that would like to see the blow-by-blow, I scanned my scorecard for the night. I can't promise I got every pitch, but came close. I had 70 pitches right on the nose too, and that matched Nate's info (always a good sign!)

The Norwood homer in the 10th made me glad I stayed!

Woo hoo - I believe this puts the Chiefs into 1st in the division...

Have a good night all!

Karen

I just got back from the game in Peoria, AWESOME TRIP!!

I met Kerry at a gas station just off 55-North (he drove to Peoria alone)

Late night, early work. I'll give details tomorrow.

I just read this game thread.....(maybe i need to get a life....sigh)....thanks for all the info.

I am very excited by Kerry's rehab start...yes, I realize it is Class A...but great to hear nonetheless...

So anyways,

The guy who got me the the seats (Thanks again so much) was also dealing with Kerry Wood and his arrival into Peoria. So he was telling my buddy about the car he drove, and how he came all the way down to Peoria in his own car, alone.

After Wood left the game, I hit the road a nbit later. Stopped for dinner. Then about an hour later, the exact car the was described to me pulls up alongside me. I look over and low and behold..Kerry Wood (Blacked out window, but it was a pretty well lit area.)

So after going back and forth with him on 55N for about a half an hour, I was running seriously low on gas. So I got in the right lane and slowed damn to the "recommended 65 mph" His takes off on me.

About 20 minutes later I pull into a gas station at the Weber Road exit. And by all odds, I swear, his car is parked, as if he were in the minimart part of the store. I Pull up to the pump and go inside.

As I am going in, he is leaving. So I congratulate him, and we talked baseball for a little bit. Awesome.

With tickets already in hand for the 17th, maybe I should consider a trip to Iowa on the 12th.

Anyway, just wanted to say this was a great roadtrip.
