Most of us know that he was once a hot prospect. Even so, here are his up to the minute Major League stats against left-handed pitchers.

 

.286/.338/.471 in 140 ABs. He has struck out 31 times and grounded into 8 DPs. So he does have a high "frustration factor." But obviously these numbers are way better than Jones has done in his career. It's such a natural platoon that it must have escaped the Cubs' braintrust (oxymoron alert).

more then likely they will trade one away to the cardinals for david eckstein in a desperate attempt to secure that all important and illusive "vetern leadoff guy"
