this is disgusting: 6IP, 7H, 4BB, 1 stinking run

It's the Baseball Godz coming back to haunt them for their torrid clutch hitting early in the season. It was inevitable.

Early in the season I was intruiged and excited about this team. Double steals, suicide squeezes, etc.

Of late this has been the same crap we've had to watch the last couple years. I don't care if Lee is hurt. Still need to play smart baseball.

I thought we were on a roll that when you didn't perform you were sent down or lost your spot ie Williams and Rusch. If that's the case, Jones should ride the pine until he figures out how to not get doubled up off second on a line drive to the friggin outfield.

I like lots on this team still, Murton, Cedeno, Barrett, Ramirez, relief, young pitchers, etc. But needless to say again they're frustrating to watch.

Jones needs to go.

Or else he needs to bat cleanup - he's hitting better than Aram.

Aram will end up hitting over .300, Jones wont

I sure hope so but I have yet to see anything that gives me a lot of confidence that will happen.

Last year? Or the Year before that? Or the year before that? Or 2 years before that?

Well it's a good thing we didn't keep Nomar. He's only bat .300 with an OBP of near .400.

In 9 games.

Can you let me use my small sample size to help bitch about Neifi being on this team without correction please?

our infielders don't understand baseball fundamentals. It's called back up the play.

Our everything doesn't understand anything. That's why we haven't won in a century.

Well, you don't need to use Nomar to prove we don't need Neifi. Just use [insert player here].

EDIT: And I was referring more to injury than sample size in the previous post.

Cedeno's batting 315 w/ OBP of 340ish

I'll take .300/.400 over .315/.340.

That being said I'm very happy with Cedeno. I'm sure we could have worked out a configuration that would have allowed Nomar to stay. Say for a platoon with Jockstrap or somewhere else on the field.

Scott Williamson's Gameday picture has him looking like he just got done scrounging for food in a dumpster.

Who would you prefer as your utility guy - Hairston, Neifi, or Nomar?

I think it was actually taken just before he went scrounging for food. Nice guess, though.

Hairston. Neifi shouldn't see wrigley unless he's a batboy.
