I'm only listening on the radio, but you can't expect a good throw if the runner gets a huge jump. The catcher has to just get it off as quickly as possible and accuracy becomes less of a concern. It's the only way that he has a chance of throwing the runner out.

Barrett made a decent throw (Not great in any way), but the base was pretty much already stolen, only a perfect throw would have gotten him, although Hairston did pull a pretty nifty tag attempt.

Neifury would have used his Matrix abilities to stop time and thus stopping Hanley an inch before the bag while tagging him out.

I'd argue that that one was on the Rookie.

it was. but the throw still sucked.

Even if Marshall would have used a slide step that throw wouldn't have gotten Rameriz.

Michael does that a lot. His arm gets ahead of his body and his throws rise.

As long as he hits like he has I don't care.

hello, earth to cubs. take some pitches.

I disagree, Walker and Pierre both had solid contact in those at bats, Dontrelle is just throwing strikes.

Dude, that was grooved down the middle, Walker isn't going to get much better of a pitch to hit and Hanley robbed Cedeno up the middle. They weren't bad swings, just because they were early.

the '06 Cubs have as many '03 Marlins as the '06 Marlins.

the '06 Marlins have as man '03 Cubs as the '03 Cubs. (active roster)

(^ I'M WRONG, cubs have 2 from '03, marlins only have 1 '03 Cub.. unless you want to count Welley)
