I know alot of people will say he's often hurt like he is right now but he will be coming back soon and we will need his bat in our lineup. CBS Sportsline Rumor Mill speculated the Dodgers need a left fielder or a starter. I heard the Dodgers coaching staff thought Nomar took to 1st base really well. How about Rich Hill straight up for Nomar. I know Rich is tearing up AAA but I'm just not seeing the light to when he joins the big club. This trade obviously depends on when Nomar is off the DL. Okay, I'm ready to be torn apart and I apologize to other threads if this has been mentioned.

That takes care of that. I was one of the few to hate to see him go. I don't want to bring up the debate of why he left but I was upset he was so open about playing everywhere after he was gone. I thought that was the reason he left. Couldn't handle short and we didn't need him at 3rd. I still believe he'll make a heck of a good SUPER SUB.

Without his permission, that is.

Incredibly long shot of this going down, but I could see it.

Are you certain about that?

I thought the purpose of the rule was to prevent sign-and-trade transactions, not to protect the player.

Nomar would be a nice addition, but I'd never give up a valuable prospect for him at this point. I'd only give them the likes of Rusch, Sing, etc.

well, it kind of does both.

if nomar agrees, he can be traded back to the cubs as soon as he's off the DL.

His being on the DL has nothing to do with his eligibility to be traded. The Cubs got Rondell White while he was on the DL as an example. It doesn't happy very often but he could theoretically be traded while still on the DL.

But why would Hendry trade for a guy he could have resigned for free? Not that it's a bad idea. In fact it makes sense on a lot of levels. But I don't really see it happening.

Nomar for Rusch, Dodgers eat Nomar's contract.

Wouldn't it have to be the other way around. The Dodgers would be getting ripped off enough by taking Rusch. Why would they take his contract and Nomar's?

I thought the lunacy in my post would have been enough evidence that I was joking. I guess not.

This whole thread is lunacy, so your post kind of flew under the radar I guess.

I wasn't sure. It is hard to tell if somebody is joking just from what they write. Good joke.
