The game between the St. Lucie Mets and the Daytona Cubs was suspended due to a power outage and will be finished on Tuesday prior to the start of their regularly scheduled game. The game will begin at 7pm with a runner on first and one out in the top of the ninth with the Mets leading 5-3. Tuesday’s regularly scheduled game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the suspended game.

I couple of interesting facts from the Des Moines Register about the I-Cubs:

Iowa's pitchers gave up their first homerun after 36 2/3 innings.

Iowa's starting pitchers are 3-0 and have a 1.00 ERA after 5 games. They have pitched 27 innings, struck out 21 and walked 7.

Anyone really interested in seeing Pie vs. Sheets today. If it were June/July/August I would be there in a second. However, since I am a teacher, my "vacation" doesn't start until after Memorial Day.

Hopefully Veal can have a possitive outing, didnt he walk a lot of people his last time out? Should also be very interesting to see what Pie does against Sheets.

Tuned in just in time to see Pie ground out to third.

That is one funky cannon that they've got mounted on the back of that golf cart...I wish I had one of those.

They nearly picked off one of the Nashville coaches last night.

Cruz hits a double now after a homer in the 1st; Ryu looks like he's trying to be too fine out there and is picking the wrong times to be aggresive.

Another run scores on a pop fly to left center. Pie could have dived and got it but the LF and SS got too close for him to go for it IMO.

Pie strikes out on a nice curve by Sheets. To me it seems like Pie is awfully far back in the batter's box for a speed guy.

Well I got to watch Pie bat so now I've got to go back to school, I'll be back later to catch the rest of the games.

Theriot's swinging the bat well. Two hits off of Sheets. I didn't see the first one, but the second one he took a pitch the other way into RF.

I hope we'll see the Riot on the team next year. He could be an inexpensive utility player for the Cubs for several years.
