I must say I am not a big fan of HD because the nearest one is completely unorganized. Plus, Lowe's is less than 3 minutes from my house.

Also their cashiers are always hot.

I prefer Home Depot, but we only have a Lowe's. Soon we will have a new Lowe's and a Home Depot across the street from each other. Huzzah for Capitalism!

I work at Home Depot and probably will never shop there when I leave. Too much disorganization and confusion.

those superstores are neat but my local hardware store took some of there paint and re-tinted it for free. I have also called them and the owner stopped by after work hours to make sure I had installed it properly.

 

No pin-head college/HS student at those superstores (even there so calledd experts) would do that.

Nice generalizations. As someone who isn't incredibly handy working at a Home Improvement store, I sometimes feel out of place. Then again, I don't work a department where Product Knowledge is critical. I work the service area where my primary objective is to be the battering ram for people's frustrations.

 

There are a lot of people at my HD who are very knowledgable and they are those darn "pinhead" college student ages.
