Hello Scott, welcome to the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed your 37 pitch first outing on opening day..

 

I thought that was uncalled for. Dusty was calling a good game up to that point. That made no sense...

I do agree that Baker was calling a pretty good game but you can't leave a relief pitcher on opening day for 37 pitches.

I'm sure the off day was taken into consideration.

Not an impressive first day showing for our pen. Let's hope it gets better.

 

I don't often defend the arms in the Cub pen, but it is a significant weather change for them to adapt to. However, there still is little defense for Williamson not throwing strikes while up by 7.
