They could always trade Wilson to the Cubs to make room for Gerut on the 25 man.

For Zambrano? Cool!!!

What did we get for Matt Lawton?

P Justin Berg

The odds of that guy ever reaching the majors are about 1 in a million.

wow the trickle down of moved talents starting from Dusty's LF platoon last year

START

Jason Dubois

Todd Hollandsowrth

Dubois traded to Indians for Jody Gerut

Jody Gerut traded to Pirates for Matt Lawton

Matt Lawton traded to Yankees for 'prospects'

Hollandsworth traded to Braves for 'prospects'

this year

Dubois to AAA for the Indians because

Hollandsworth signed to the Indians

Jody Gerut to AAA for the Pirates (hey, we could say the Pirates signing Burny has a little to do with this)

Lawton busted for roids, gets NRI (?) from the Mariners

that's quite alot of movement....

Lawton's the Mariners' fourth outfielder, or at least he will be once he's served his 10-day suspension. Starting will be Ibanez, Reed and Ichiro from left to right, Lawton'll be the primary backup, and over the course of the year Joe Borchard, Chris Snelling and Shin-Soo Choo will fight it out for the fifth outfield spot.

Is he really that bad? I haven't followed his career.

Nope, but he's not exactly a top prospect either. Bad season at rookie league, followed by a very good showing in Short Season A ball before being dealt to the Cubs, where he only appeared in two games. He turns 22 in June, and has worked as a starter and a reliever.

Gonna be tough for Reed to play through that fractured wrist...
