Stairs grounds into what should have been a DP, but Ramirez was at SS because of the shift...the ball went to Neifi at the 2b side...Ramirez can't turn the pivot so Stairs safe at first on a FC.

One out.

Berroa doubles. Stairs holds at third.

williams needs a good outing today. wonder if he's looking over his shoulder with the youngsters pitching so well.

by the way, walker drives a sweet mustang.

I think Williams is pretty much guaranteed his spot with injuries to Wood and Prior.

Why does Moore have a clue on what to do at the plate and Jones does not?

I hope Harvey works out b/c I'd hate to see RF become like 3rd base after Santo left

Sammy

Burnitz

At least Jones only got himself out.

True. He may do that a lot this year if he continues to swing like that.

If he comes in under 100 Ks for the year, I'll be amazed.

I thought I heard Ronnie Woo Woo.

Last year when the Cubs played the Yankees I saw Woo Woo in Yankee stadium. How he got there I have no idea.

Speaking of not having a clue at the plate I hope Harvey learns some pitch recognition this year. I think the Cubbies will have a decent RF by 2010. I think this Santo thing was too hyped up and don't forget about Madlock because he was a heck of a hitter.
