President Bush reportedly will throw a ceremonial first pitch before the Cincinnati Reds' season opener April 3 against the Chicago Cubs.

The Cincinnati Post first reported on its Web site Tuesday evening that Bush had accepted team owner Bob Castellini's invitation to attend the afternoon game at Great American Ball Park. Neither the team nor the White House would confirm the plans.

Great!

Now that several of the ownership group from the Cardinals have taken over in Cinci I don't have to watch G Dub throw out the first pitch in St. Louis anymore.

I just think it would be cool to watch the President, aka the most powerful man on Earth, throw out a first pitch.

I'll be there!

Fixed your post. Puppets don't wield power.

Grow up.

:?:

Bush is a moronic puppet. What's there to grow up about?

Is this really necessary?

Take it to rants if you're so intent on beating a dead horse.

Sorry you're right. My hatred for that man runs so deep and so visceral that I can't contain myself when I even see the name Bush.

Somehow I knew that no one would go with the "it'll be cool to see the President throw out the first pitch at our Opening Day game" angle and go with the "I hate Bush" angle.

There are countless threads in Rants in which Bush-bashing is not just accepted but downright encouraged. Go there.

That's awesome. Don't like him, never voted for him, but he CAN throw a strike.

I think Dubya has said he wants to be MLB Commish one day. Bad of a president as I think he is, I bet he'd be better than the used car salesman currently running the game.

Then your handle at NSBB is fitting. :) It also reminds me of a joke my contracts professor told us:

New attorney is in his first case. The opposing attorney is cross-examining his star witness, and she is really taking the witness to task. The new attorney decides she's gone too far, and he stands up and says, "Objection! Counsel is beavering the witness."

After a pregnant pause, the judge motions counsel to come to the bench. "I think what you meant to say was BADGERING, son," says the judge.

"Oh, THAT'S the word," says the attorney. "I knew it was some small furry animal."

You couldn't be farther from the truth. We have an open bar party, sponsored by the law school every other week. It's fantastic.

Speaking of which, I've decided after a lot of passing by your sig in threads that the girl on the right just edges out the girl on the left. Barely.
