One thing is for certain. The Brewers chance of contending goes way down if Sheets misses significant time.

While Davis and Capuano might be solid pitchers, neither is a staff ace.

I agree, also keep in mind the 5th spot being challenged by a number of guys, one of them being Rick Helling has arm issues and is day-to-day. More than likely he will pitch out of the bullpen early on.

This guy better be okay, Cause i'll be screwed in my dynasty league if he's not!
It will also ruin the 6K I was planning on spending after collecting it in vegas after the WS.

Here's an article updating Sheets's condition.

Right-hander Ben Sheets, whose back soreness hung over the camp like a cloud for 36 hours, did not re-injure the latissimus dorsi muscle that sidelined him for the final five weeks last season. Team doctor William Raasch examined Sheets and diagnosed a strain of an adjoining muscle, the teres major, which is sometimes referred to as the "lats' little helper."

"In some individuals, (the latissimus dorsi and teres major) blend together before they attach to the bone," Raasch said. "Others have separate insertions. You've got these two tendons running next to each other. Ben tore the one insertion of the latissimus. That pulls back and that then heals to the teres major. Now, he has one insertion, like a lot of people do. Basically, everything is going through the teres major. In his rehabilitation, we've been strengthening the muscle groups. But you can't replicate throwing in simple physical therapy.

Sheets is due back on April 16.

And for those in Des Moines, you can catch his next rehab start against the Iowa Cubs.

ight-hander Ben Sheets returned to the Brewers' clubhouse Friday, a day after a successful rehabilitation start for Class AA Huntsville in Jackson, Miss. Nothing official was announced Friday but Sheets is expected to pitch for Class AAA Nashville Tuesday in Des Moines, Iowa, which would put him on track to rejoin the Brewers' rotation April 16 at Shea Stadium.

"I'm ready to get back but I don't want to jump the gun," Sheets said. "If I tried to jump the gun and had a setback, I'd look like an idiot. I try to tell myself that one more (rehabilitation) start ain't going to be a killer."

6 innings, 2 hits..both by Theriot if memory serves. He cut loose in the 5th-6th, was throwing between 91-96 and dealing.
