Does anyone have a feel for how difficult it will be to get tix for the June 3-5 series in St Louis?

I've wrestled with the Cubs' Virtual Waiting room and I'm hoping that is the worst ticket buying experience a fan can go through.

Any pointers you guys can give this southern cub fan would be much appreciated.

The Cardinals use the same virtual waiting room system. That coupled with the fact that they've already sold a fair amount of tickets via group plans and season tickets could make it pretty difficult.

I was checking for tickets in STL as well and considered buying the 4 pack and selling the other tickets, but the 4 game packs for that weekend are only showing availability in singles. That does not mean that there will not be some available when single game goes on sale.

stub hub has bleacher tix for that weekend at 50 bucks a seat.

I guess it could be worse.

I'd really like to get some tix, as one of my best friends is a cardinal fan and we're hoping for a fun weekend in St Louis.

I'm going to have to go through the same hoopla as well as I need tickets to the Cubs-Cards games April 21-23 in St. Louis.

Just walk up to the game. At the hotel a block away(can't remember the chain), there were plenty of guys with tickets for the Neifi GS game, and that was a Sunday Night game. We got 2 really good seats for only a couple bucks over face value(face value was 42 each I think, we paid 90 for 2). And that was over an hour and a half before first pitch.

Thanks. I'll try to get them online, but if I'm unable, I'll try that. Since I'm flying up for those games, I would like to have tickets in hand as a peace of mind sort of thing.

Tiger is right though i usually dont buy tickets for games until I get over there and i never really pay more then a few dollars over regular price, and alot of the time you can find it for cheaper then face value.

It might be harder to get tickets on the day of because it's a new ballpark (I have no clue how things go in STL, just tossing that out there).

Hadn't thought of that, but considering the big spot(whatever hotel that is) is a block+ away from the stadium, and the new Busch is in almost the exact same spot, I don't think the newness of the stadium will have a huge impact on demand.

I believe there will be just over 6,000 fewer seats in the new Busch when it's all done. But for the first half of the season, there are going to be an additional 6,000 seats that will not be finished. That leaves a capacity of just under 38,000 seats for the first half of the season, so I'd imagine it's going to be harder to find tickets on game day than it was before.

well, i knew there was no chance of me getting 4 tickets to 2 games via the cardinals home page, so I bought 4 bleacher seats (sec 595) for 40 bucks each off ebay.

Not too bad. . . . probably not the best seats, but at least i'm in the stadium.

I'll try my luck in the VR for the June 3 game :)

For the Saturday 4/22 game, I just picked up two seats off ebay that are in the Ozzie Smith Legends Party Suite. Anyone wonder if the Card fans there will mind having a Cub fan in the suite? :D

It depends. If the Cubs are already out of the race by then you should be ok.

My father-in-law who's a Card fan may go with me, but if he doesn't I'm going to be looking for a Cubs fan so that there will be two of us in the suite.

You sound like the Mirror Version of when my Dad and I go to Wrigley.

That early in the season should be just fine. It's a friendly atmosphere in St. Lou for the most part. You've been to enough games to know. Of course it only takes one drunk #$% to get things started.

Have fun, I wish I was going to that series!

FYI - the 6/3 game is completely cold out along with 3 of the other Cubs/Cards games. All of the other Cubs/Cards games have single tix/SRO. There are 5 complete sell outs and 18 other with singles/SRO.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm heading to SL with a family of Cardinal fans.

I've warned them --- I go all out --- jerseys at the games and cub T's / polos on the town.

It's gonna be great --- especially when we win!
