I live in NW Tenn and I wonder what geographic area MLB would consider my home team? I'm guessing, ATL, STL, maybe CIN...I'd like to find out from someone what the geographic areas are...I'd like to get this pkg if I can get a good amount of Cubs games.

It can be kind of frustrating in Las Vegas. They count us as in the local market for Arizona, San Diego, LA, LA of Anaheim, Oakland, and San Francisco. That is an awful lot of blacked out games. The first four are 4-6 hour drives, calling us in the Bay Area market (8 hour drive) is just ridiculous. I will probably still get the package again, but I definitely wouldn't if I were a NL West fan. Edited by hankp101

Jacey, I live in Memphis and Stl, Cin, and Atl games are blacked out. It kind of sucks because Stl, and Cin make up a good chunk of our scheldule, it's still worth it in my opinion though.

I'm in Madison, WI and the only games I get blacked out are the brewers. But most of their games are on Fox Sports North, so I don't really miss anything.

Directv also offers the Fox Sports Package of channels. It seems like that there are less restrictions regarding blackouts and you keep the channels all year long for about the same amout of money as the Extra Innings package.

Even if you have the Fox regional package, out of market games are blacked out unless you purchase extra innings.

local games are only blacked out if they are on locally I think. The only games you don't get are WCIU and saturday national broadcasts.

the fox sports package is worthless as everything is blacked out.

So even though I get Milwaukee Fox and Chicago Fox, I'll still miss the saturday national games?

they will likely show the cubs in chicago or milwaukee. in denver we usually get a crappy nl west game or the yankees or some crap like that. that's ok because I would rather spend my saturdays out hiking or something.

So, you're saying you do not get any Cubs games involving CIN, STL & ATL except for what games are played on TBS, WGN & any other stations I may get on DIRECT? What about getting the Cubs broadcast from Comcast Sports Net or whatever the Chicago affiliate is from the DIRECT sports package involving those three teams? Make any sense? It would be so nice if they could give us a straight answer on what we will or won't receive. Thanks for the help!!
