Since you have to have an account to get into the virtual waiting room, if you are going to get on using more then one computer does each computer have to have its own account? Or can you log in on a couple computers with the same account?

I'm guessing that they won't make you sign in until you start the checkout process. But even if you have to sign in before entering the VWR, I know that in the past you could be signed in to the same account on multiple computers at once.

I am going for June 13 - 18 Houston and Detroit. Also going for May 12 and 13. Since Detroit is interleague I hope it's not going to be to hard to get compared to just a regular game.

Tigers tickets won't be as hard to get as White Sox or Cardinals, but they'll sell out pretty quickly.

I was in the first 400 or so last year. I'm not getting my hopes up too high for it happening again.

I've never known anyone to be in the first 400. How long did it take for you to actually buy tickets? Do you remember what time they processed your order?

I was in the first 175 2 years ago, but that's when you could buy tickets for up to 40 games. The processing times are way shorter now.

At 175 down the list 2 years ago, I was out at around 9:15

Thanks! That's helpful.

Although, of course, you can still buy tickets for 40 games - if you want to go by yourself.

I went to about 25 games last year at Wrigley. Most of the time I went with friends, but several times I went by myself. I met some great people last year at Rockies and Mets games.

I think I got to the ticket window at about 10:15...fifteen minutes after sales went online. At that time, I was still able to get tickets to all but the saturday Red Sox game. I did feel a bit nervous having approximately $1500 worth of tickets in my pocket in the El, but aside from that, everything worked out great.

Ok. I guess I should have said that 2 years ago the max was 4 tickets per gae and 160 tickets total. Quite a change.

Anyway, went this morning at 9. No line whatsoever. I'm number 11546.

I was 575 away last year and I got in there at about 10:45ish. When I got to the counter, the Saturday Red Sox game had only singles left, but the rest had pairs. Bleachers were somewhat sparce for the big games as well.

Honestly, this year I don't think nearly as many people are getting wristbands. Last year it was about 30 degrees when I went out at noon on the first day to get my wristband, and the line was all the way around the park. This year all reports I've gotten are waits of less then 10 minutes. I think since they distribute wristbands 00001-20000 randomly, I think if you are 4,000-5,000 away, you might have a shot at good tickets because not all the numbers inbetween will be taken. Its just my theory, but if you live in the area, as many know Cubs.com updates the number currently being called in the lottery, so you can sit home and wait until the right time to go down there.

I completely agree. Wristbands are way down.

Guys, I have a problem.

I got my wristband, but lost the order form that went with it. Is that going to stop me from being able to get any tickets tomorrow?

If anyone knows please let me know.

Thanks,

ZiggyTaxi

EDIT: I went with a friend. Do you think that I could just use his order form, and maybe cross out the order number on the bottom? We would only use one wristband and order form, since we are just going to use whoever has the closer number.

As long as you have your wristband on, you should have no problem tomorrow.

Being the procrastinator that I am, I waited until about 730 tonight to get a wristband and it also took me only 5 minutes. I heard reports of not even moving after an hour of waiting right after quitting time tonight, but that seems hard to believe. I pulled 315, which even though its completely random is a bad number because no one really knows what is the highest number they are giving out. But I'm 10 minutes away so it shouldnt be a big deal. Last year I went for a wristband at about the same time and was one of the last people (after waiting for 2 hours) to get a wristband. And at that time they were giving them out at the fomer Byrons building, which was much more efficient than the clubhouse cafe, or whatever its called, that they were using this year. Based on the responses to this thread, even the diehards are cutting back big time (including myself) on ticket orders. Way to go Jim! I'll be on tomorrow and hopefully I have the same success I had last year and can share the love with y'all.

I've heard that the numbers were random to 20,000, but I don't have a link.

The highest number someone I know pulled was in the 18,000s.

Last year, was it possible to be in two different waiting rooms for two different game days at the same time?

When you get through the VWR, you can select any game if you click on the schedule. It's not just for the game you clicked on. And even if you get through in multiple windows at the same time, the others because unusable once you make a purchase.

So basically if I want to attend two different games this year, I can't buy tickets for both at the same time.. I have to do one, before the other.
