Does anyone else see A. Soriano w/less pop?

I think he will have more patience than Soriano, fwiw. But yeah, Soriano's the first person that comes to mind when I think of Felix.

I think Pie will able to put the ball into play more like Soriano than Patterson did his final two years. I believe Soriano has been able to keep it above .350, as Patterson did in '03.

Are you referring to contact rate or BABIP or both?

gotcha.

FWIW, I think Corey can get back above that level again, too. Hopefully Baltimore will not continue trying to have him hit ground balls.

I thought Felix made great adjustments in A-ball. I would be interested to see how he does when he slumps at the ML level. Corey was able to show flashes of being able to hit everything in sight, but then starts to struggle and can't adjust. Felix was good at shortening his swing and laying down a bunt if needed.

BABIP

First Inning says that Soriano hasn't had a BABIP over .341 since Rookie ball.

Hey, how the hell did a Mizzou fan get in here... :)

Evidentally!

Pie's numbers at AA were a little better than Corey's, weren't they? I think the thing that I like is that he progressed while advancing - something Corey stopped doing.
