Man, Russ Rohlicek and Grant Johnson are going to be mad when they find out their identical twins are ranked higher than they are.

I don't know. I think Grant will like the compliment.

Maybe we'll get some new posters: "Russ's Evil Twin" and "Grant's Evil Twin."

How does Cedeno make his list when he has had enough ML service time that he does not even qualify for ROY this season? And if Cedeno qualifies why not Murton?

I am not real familiar with his methodology, so maybe there is some criteria of which I am not aware about when guys are no longer considered minor league prospects.

I don't know about Sickels (it might be somewhere on the site), but Cedeno only started 18 games last season to Murton's 38.

That would be a nice nickname, wouldn't it?

How did Ryu get up to #5? I don't remember him doing anything especially impressive that didn't involve killing birds the last couple of years, though he had a very solid season last year. Am I missing something, or has the system just regressed that much?

He's always had 4 pitches, sinking action on his fastball(which is at a pretty solid velocity IIRC). He was at an age appropriate level and put up those solid numbers last year. I think it's a matter of both him being a solid prospect, and the system losing some talent.

The knock on him is that while he has tremendous command of those pitches, he can't get people out with them for whatever reason. Otherwise, he would get a lot more hype.

I really like seeing what Sickles has to say given that he's a respected analyst who's outside the Baseball America influence. Here some things that interest me:

Ryu at 5th. Most people consider him a pretty low end prospect with the potential of a middle reliever, but here Sickles is making him the second best prospect in our system. Perhaps its his polish, still young age or nearly 3/1 K/BB ratio at West Tenn last year, but Sickles obviously sees something from Ryu that other publications don't share, and I find that to be interesting.

Holliman and Phelps 14 and 15. Sickles gives a lot of love to the 2005years draft picks with Pawelek 1 and Veal 6, but it's good to see some favorable rankings of Phelps and Holliman.

Scott Moore over Ryan Harvey seems questionable to me just based on raw ability, but Sickles is very low on Harvey, and for good reasons.
