Are we supposed to vote to make the Big10 stronger, or weaker so it's easier for current teams to win.

I voted for West Virginia - I simply love their basketball and football teams (and programs).

Would Syracuse have to change their school colors? Could be awfully confusing in those games vs. Illinois.

Nothing against Syracuse but I'd rather see the Big 10 stay predominantly Midwest.

No love for Ball State? :D

Maybe when we sweep IU, Michigan and Purdue next season they will consider us.

Kidding, kidding...

from a football standpoint, Northern Illinois University would be a nice fit. They play a running style and traditionally tough defense which would mold well into a big ten conference. They are in the midwest as well, and have averaged near 25,000 fans a game for the last 3 years. Obviously some work would have to be done to expand the current stadium, but I think they would be a nice fit.

Well then except for Louisville and WV there's no point having this discussion, because ND either completely plastered or would have completely plastered all the other teams on this list.

Oh, they would have? How did they do against MSU this past season? Notre Dame will not join the Big Ten after watching the mighty Penn State go from a perennial powerhouse as an indy to getting knocked around like a good team should. In the Big Ten, ND would be the next Minnesota.

And I'd judge that over the next decade or so, ND will be better than most of the top-tier Big Ten tams.

I must disagree, kind sir.

Well, then refer back to this post in 2016 and we'll see who's right. :D

how about University of Illinois-Chicago. They are big, in a big city and they can start a football program and play in Soldiers Field.

Hmm lets see. Cincinnatti, this would legitimize their football program immediatly and that would make it more difficult for OSU to horde all that HS football talent in the state of Ohio. Thats a good thing. Does the basketball program make up for the football program, probably not since Huggins is gone, dont really know what you are getting.

Im voting Syracuse. Great basketball program and the NY tv market it attractive. Nice academics. Big Ten was interested in BC because of their TV market but they are gone. Id like to have Syracuse. Im not crazy about Pitt or WV.
