Roughly 54 hours until the NFC title game. I'm wearing my traditional Friday jersey - Steve Smith that is. :D

Go Seahawks. The game will be decided in the trenches I believe. If Carolina gets consistent, decent pressure on Hasselbeck then I fear for Seattle some. However, if the OL of Seattle can hold the Panthers and/or create lanes then, obviously I feel the Seahawks will win it. Very elementary analysis, I know, but I'm seeing that as the key.

I think this game will come down to someone you might not expect. (Ricky Proehl? Maurice Morris? Joe Jurevicius? Nick Goings?)

The Pick - Panthers 27 Seahawks 17. Maybe Carolina's got some injury issues but they will stop Shaun Alexander and make Hasselbeck beat them with his arm. I don't think he'll be able to do it.

Has any team ever won 3 road games to advance to the SuperBowl?

No. Only two other teams besides Pittsburgh and Carolina have even won two road games in a row in the playoffs (95 Colts and 96 Jags).

Guess what? TWO teams are winning three games in a row and going to the Super Bowl this year. Pittsburgh will beat Denver 17-14.

Home teams will win. Book it! Nobody will ever make fun of Jake Plummer and Matt Hasselbeck again, until Plummer flops miserably in the Super Bowl.

It will be somewhat interesting if Seattle does go to the superbowl against Denver in that they are old division rivals. If there's a team I dislike more than the Raiders its the Broncos.

Will Alexander, Morgan and Peppers play?
Alexander said earlier in the week that he is going to play, and Peppers practiced today. I haven't heard anything about Morgan.

No, I'll be watching the game on TV (my TV and computer are in different rooms). So I won't be online, other than possibly during halftime.

I thought that New England won three in a row on the road in 85 to get blown out by the bears in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, that's what I thought too but didn't mention it because I was only 2 at the time and too lazy to look it up on Google.

Correct. I really love making mistakes on this site. :D

Well, the amount will triple after tomorrow.

I'll be all over the first game, and don't give a fig about the 2nd game.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem you're alone.

i'm sure i'll end up watching the 2nd game, but i have no feelings one way or the other for either NFC team. My brother in law is a big Steelers fan, so I guess I'll root for them what with the Bears predictble demise

I don't have feelings toward either game, but I will be watching both b/c I'm a sports junkie.

It's interesting - all the free time I have in college has made me a sports junkie. I've already watched more non-ND college basketball games this year than I ever have before in a season.
