I chanced upon the 2006 schedule, thinking that finally the Cubs would come out to Seattle again. But I don't see them. :-( They haven't been out here since '02 - what gives?

With the NL Central playing the AL East last year and the AL Central in 2006, they'll likely go to Seattle in 2007.

Who knows how they decide who plays who.

Dusty's dugout dice inspires many.

Didnt NL Central face AL West in 2004?

NL Central faced AL Central in 02.

faced AL East in 03.

faced AL West in 04.

faced AL East in 05.

Doesn't make sense to me either.

2003 was the first year teams from different league but the same divisions didn't play each other. Since the beginning of interleague play, the Cubs had only played the AL Central, MLB has mixed in the other two divisions since 2003.

I know the Cubs faced Oakland, and I think Anaheim, but they sure didn't show up here. :-(

Yeah, I for one, thought that the Cubs would be playing aganist the Royals at the K in the 2006 season.

I guess that isn't happening.

Yea, for the past few (several) years, they have had the Cubs and Sox "trade" in a series with one (or is it two) of the teams in the division from the other league that they're facing for an extra cross-town series.

I guess Seattle (and Texas?) were the ones that got dumped to make room for the home/home Cubs/Sox series in 2004.

The Cubs WENT to Seattle in 2002. When the NL Central and the AL West play again, it's likely Seattle will come to the Cubs. So, my guess is....you have awhile to wait before you see the Cubs back in Seattle. Which brings me to:

I remember that game being on WGN, and I thought, Prior should never be allow to leave Chicago. I remember him outpitching Joel Piniero that game---who at that time was consider another very good young arm---and it brought shivers down my spine, just thinking about the possibilities.

Actually, it was 2001 - I remember because I spent the off-season bragging about how the Cubs took 2 of 3 from a team that won 116 games (as Seattle did that year).
