They better as pumped up to face Carolina as they were the 1st time. B/c Carolina's O-Line hasn't forgotten how the Bears front four made them the Bears' B******.

Keys to winning...

(1) Stop Smith

(2) Contain Foster

(3) Make sure Moose isn't "nervous" against his former team again

(4) No turnovers

(5) Stay healthy

I don't think Moose would be too "nervous" aganist his former team. I think he'll be pumped up, so I wouldn't worry about that part. What I would be worried is that Carolina actually shut out Plaxico Burris. I think the Panthers might double team Moose, so someone else will have to step up.

Other than that, I agree with your list.

I only listed that as a "key" because that was supposedly his excuse for playing poorly vs Carolina in Week 11.

True, but it's the playoffs this time.

I think we match up well enough against them. They key will be if we can force them away from Foster and into throwing with Delhomme. Also, we have to play from the lead. Rex has to take care of the ball and be efficient.

I agree with taking care of the ball, but I'm excited to see Rex RUN the offense, as opposed to Kyle managing the offense, in a game that matters.

The Panthers scare me. Maybe I just don't respect the Bears' ability to score as much as I should, but I could easily see them stealing a touchdown from us, and beating us like 7-3. Hope that doesn't happen though.

The Panthers don't scare me as much as NY or Tampa would have. They have 2 offensive weapons-Smith and Foster. Shut down one. That's it. I think Delhomme is crap against pressure, and can be easily rattled. Their defense isn't as good as Tampa's and their offense isn't as good as NY's.

I think if the Bears lose, it will be because they shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers, or Rex gets knocked out a la Jim Miller in 2001. I don't think Carolina can beat us straight up.

One thing just to be safe is don't give anyone any bulliten board material that will give them an advantage, unlike what Osi Umenyiora did.

I'm sure "revenge" will be their little theme.

I would have much, much rather faced the Giants next weekend, but I think the Bears have a very good chance of advancing the NFC Champsionship regardless of who they'd face. Steve Smith had a big game last team they faced off and the Bears still won. I wouldn't expect the same results in Smith puts up 10 catches for 150. I just hope John Fox forgets that he can run the ball again.

Steve Smith had 14 catches for 169 yards last time these two teams played.

As of now, looks like it will be mostly cloudy with temps in the upper 30s at game time.

The wind chill would likely make it feel about 10 degrees colder than it was in New Jersey today.

I'm anxious to see the healthy secondary do its thing.

Make sure that you get Steve Smith covered as possible.

The guy tore up that Giant's secondary.

Meh. He's going to get his catches. The Bears just have to make sure that they contain him and don't let him get the long play. He did have a big game the last time that they played but he didn't have any big plays and he didn't get a touchdown.

The key to beating Carolina is to shut down the rest of the offense and contain Smith and don't let him make the big play. If you do that you should have a good chance at winning the game.
