Part of the speculation around the Miggy deals has been that the Cubs want a pitcher in return like Bedard. The Cubs scouts might not have the Phillies pitchers rated as high. Abreus contract is terrible. Miggy is also a great clubhouse guy that wants to win. Abreau hustle has been questioned at times

It might just be me, but "great clubhouse guys" don't demand a trade and publically knock the team they play for.

Rolen wanted out of Philly I would call him a good clubhouse guy

Schilling wanted out of Philly good clubhouse guy

a few off the top of my head.

Miggy's demands came shortly after Furcal signed with the Dodgers. I wonder if the two are at all related. Tejada sees what the Dodgers are willing to pay Furcal and begins to wonder if he is being fairly compensated.

He may be lookin for a trade/extension more than he is looking to be on a winner.

Just a thought

Actually, it has been suspected he demanded the trade because he wants to play in Boston with his friend Ortiz. His demands occured very shortly after the Red Sox traded Renteria.

I'm exhausted of all this Tejada talk.....I hope he doesn't come to Chicago.

You mean you do not want Tejada b/c you are "exhausted" of hearing about him? I would suggest turning away then.

But I for one have zero interest in packaging Prior and Pie for Tejada and Bedard.

I for two.

Me for three.

Four.

Fif! Fif!

Six!! Its "group think"!!

Even though I do listen to 'Sports Central', I don't think Kaplan has broken any Cubs story or has any better insight than most of the posters here. He will always say he "talked to a GM today" or "front office people" but NEVER says who they are. And when Hendry is on the air with him, Kaplan just sits in his lap and licks his face.

I realize that Kaplan can't be too tough on the air because of who he works for, but a little tougher questioning is what most of us want from him.

I'm pretty sure that Kaplan broke the Sosa trade last year.

That face licking thing would make for some pretty good TV, any way they could go on WGN?

You can actually watch the show through the windows on Michigan Avenue at their studio.
