This is the first playoff appearance in the new stadium. People who bought PSL's are forced to buy playoff tickets or lose their PSL. My brother in law has 2 PSL seats but isn't excited about going to a game in mid January. The non-PSL season ticket holders aren't required to buy playoff tickets and they aren't in danger of losing season ticket priority. Their might be a secondary market for these PSL tickets.

PSLs and all that go with it suck, but why would you get season tickets but not be "excited about going to a game in mid January?" I'd have a tough time feeling sorry for somebody who went through the effort of getting the PSLs but chose not to buy playoff tickets because it's too cold in January.

probably largely due to Sunday night game against Atlanta. It was cold and nephew said that the restrooms were packed but no one was using them.

Again, if you're buying Bears seasons tickets, you have to be aware of the chance you'll be attending a cold game. If they host a playoff game, you've got to go. Thinking about not attending because it's too cold is one of the weakest excuses I could imagine. If you're financial situation, health or child's health was in dire straits, then you make them available to a friend or family member, or maybe scalp them. Other than that there is no excuse.

Yeah he has to go but he doesn't have to be excited about it. I am sure that some PSL owners didn't budget playoff tickets and would prefer not to have credit card debt in lieu of going to the game.

ChicagoSports.com"]The Bears will open the playoffs at Soldier Field at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14 or Sunday, Jan. 15.

If Tampa Bay beats Washington this weekend, the Bears will host the Bucs on Jan. 14. If Washington wins, the Bears will face the winner of the Giants-Carolina game on Jan. 15.

The game will be shown on FOX-TV (WFLD-Ch. 32).

Seriously, if you have tickets you're either a fan or a businessman who uses them to entertain clients. If you aren't excited about the possibility of a home playoff game, you aren't a fan.

Trib"]With no game this weekend, the Bears aren't required to release an injury report. The news, however, isn't good for rookie safety Brandon McGowan. He suffered a torn knee ligament in the season finale against Minnesota.

McGowan could be placed on injured reserve, but teams are allowed only four free-agent signings during the playoffs. The Bears will take a wait-and-see approach at safety and with fullback Bryan Johnson.

Metcalf and Lennie Friedman also suffered knee injuries Sunday but said they hope to be healthy by the playoffs.

Azumah expects to play.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUCS!

i don't want any part of them. they're going to be tough to beat in the playoffs.

conversely, i'm glad we don't have to play the redskins in the second round. joe gibbs doesn't lose to us in the playoffs.

he should have never bought the things in the first place, then. did he go to the games and root against the bears to make the playoffs?

that's absolutely insane. if i could afford season tickets during bears playoff run, i'd have perma-grin throughout the fall and winter.
