LSU is absolutely loaded at QB. Behind Flynn, is Ryan Perrilloux who is a freshman and may be more talented than both Flynn and Russell.

I think LSU will miss Addai, but at least Broussard and and Vincent will be back next season. LSU will graduate quite a few defensive players, but hopefully will replace them with good recruting.

RJ Jackson should compete at RB, no?

He should. LSU has had some very good recruting classes lately. While Sabean was there, they had their pick of the very best in Louisiana and made in-roads into Texas and Mississippi as well as the entire Gulf Coast. Hopefully, Miles will continue that. Whooping the dog mess out of Miami should help in the recruitment as well.

Maybe Sabean should give up on the Giants and go back to football.

I kinda see LSU as the new Texas, not that Texas has moved on or up though. They'll always have great talent, it's just a matter of are they going to screw up a game or two over the course of the season that'll keep them out of the NC hunt.

Well...I'll admit LSU always seems to drop a game they shouldn't each year. But unlike Texas (at least for now), LSU does have a national championship in recent years.

Absolutely, the comparison wasn't meant to be a bad thing. For the forseeable future, LSU should be a NC contender and a top 10 team. Talent shouldn't be a problem.

The biggest problem is playing in the SEC where it is very tough to win on the road. Auburn, Alabama and Georgia usually have very strong teams. Florida is good enough to beat you if you have a bad game. With Spurrier at SC, they're going to get better. It's really tough to run the table in the SEC.

i love usc because they beat notre dame. there are tons of cocky notre dame fans who live on my floor at school (side note: one of them, who is actually my friend and lives next door to me, ALSO roots for duke in basketball. and we go to ILLINOIS.) and i like it when bad things happen to them since theyre mostly jerks and bad people. they were all cheering wildly during the usc-nd game, and when usc scored the winning touchdown they all shut up and me and my roommate cheered wildly and it was the best thing that ever happened.

I admit, I was rooting for USC that day.

I love how Illini students act like they don't have a football program, they just root for another school but it's all about Illini basketball (my cousin, a freshman at Illinois, roots for Michigan come football season).

But I have to admit, the worst are folks who root for USC football and UCLA basketball. Talk about front runners. There are a bunch of these folks at both LA schools.

i just don't root for anybody in college football.

there should be an 8 team playoff to determine the best team in college football.

Agreed. I'll also admit that there is really nothing more exciting than college football, but the lack of a playoff causes me to lose interest. Other than watching LSU and a few select games, I hardly watch it at all because I don't like the subjectivity involved in the polls, computer rankings, etc.

Don't forget about Carey even though he doesn't get to play that much. Perilloux will be a nice QB if he doesn't get tired of riding the bench and transfer. Hopefully he'll wait for his turn and shine his Jr. and Sr. year.

I wouldn't be surprised if Perrilloux ends up beating out Flynn and Russell for the starting job this spring.

USC is going for a THREEPEAT in the AP Poll.

Such an inferiority complex by the LSU fans.

I'm so glad they got exposed in the SEC title game.

GEAUX TROJANS AND CANES!

he never said usc would win, just that he was rooting for them.

He said I had an inferiority complex and he was glad LSU "got exposed." I'm glad that both of the teams he rooted for got beat.

I wasn't the 1st person to say I hoped he'd eat his words.

No inferiority complex, just disgusted with the media lovefest w/ USC since '03 despite the FACT that LSU was the only true national champ. That LSU team would have beaten that USC team, IMO. There is no doubt in my mind. I would love to have seen that game played, but alas we'll never know. Georgia was the better team all year, so there was really nothing to expose. LSU is good team, but they had not a complete game all season. By the way, I'd love to see you have to eat your words.

How do they taste so far? Just kidding!!! One down, one to go. Although I can't stand either team, GEAUX Horns!!!

The inferiority complex is a result of the "three peat talk" that I hear all the time. If you silly LSU fans keep discussing about not acknowledging the fact that it was a SPLIT CHAMPIONSHIP, I have no idea how else to describe your bitching.

And the Trojans lost. Sure showed me! God, they played like crap, I can't believe I was rooting for a team who would get embarassed like that!

For the record, I love watching USC play. Why? Because they are fun as hell to watch. And they get lots of national games since they're so awesome.
