I wouldn't mind having him. He'd automatically become my favorite Cub (UW-Whitewater grad and all).

 

But I can tell you the overwhelming consensus of NSBB would be "NO (bleeping) WAY!" based on my past experience in this topic of discussion.

the bullpen is pretty much set. they might trade either novoa or wuretz in a deal for a cf or rf guy and who knows if they will go with a 6 man or 7 man pen. it looks like ohman, eyre, williamson, novoa/wuretz, howry & dempster at the moment. i think williams will either be traded or will be a starter.

We would if Hendry would pull the trigger on a trade and sent a few relievers the other way.

No Wickman please. His save totals belie his less than stellar peripherals, he'll be 37 next year, and like Hoffman and Wagner before him, he's next in line to be overpaid by those still desperate for a closer.

$2.75 base, $0.75 incentives. Maybe match that and base the incentives off of "games finished". (in case he takes Dempster's job)
