  1. I just heard the same thing on Comcast regarding Demp to the rotation. All I have to say is that moving Demp from the bullpen to the rotation is idiotic. Let's hope he gets traded but I doubt we're that lucky. On the bright side, when Lou and Jimmy boy realize how bad Dempster is as a starter they will eventually bench him.
  2. Baldelli is definitely an injury risk, but I would take the risk on him to improve the ball club.
  3. I'd be real happy with Bradley and Fukudome. If the price is right on Bradley it will be worth the risk with his acl injury.
  4. Tampa will want pitching. That's all they should want. They need another outfielder like they need another hole in the head. Great point, I totally forgot how stacked they were in the OF. I would love to have Crawford or Gomes. Crawford has played a handful of games in CF but not much.
  5. I just heard on ESPN 1000 that both the Cubs and WSox have contacted TB about Crawford. I'd give up Pie and a prospect for him.
  6. If we are taking risks on player like Burnitz, FLoyd and other has been veterans I would take a risk on Drew if Boston coughs up at least 2 mil.
  7. The upgrade looks great, only one thing that is kinda annoying, when posting a reply and u click on submit, if someone posts during that time it asks you to verify if you want to submit again. That could get really bad during FA signings or trades.
  8. holy crap. That would have been a NFL record if he made it.
  9. Seriously, how do you go from 14-2 or whatever they were last year to about to be 4-4 fire very good coach, hire very bad coach. p.s. - the packers aren't that good. I love it. Let everyone keep on hating. The reality is that at the worst, we're the 2nd best team in the NFC. I'm definitely not hating. I think the Packers GM did an excellent job drafting. Look at how the Bears drafted WR's and look at how the Packers did. They got Jones and Jennings who have been playing very well and we have garbage. Packers defense is very solid and having Favre there and now the talent around them, they look much much better than last year. The only thing they are really missing is a RB, because Grant, Wynn and Jackson are not the answer there.
  10. If I was the GM of the Chargers I would fire Turner on the spot. He's taken a world beater team and made them mediocre.
  11. So with the 4th overall pick we get Cedric Benson and with last year's 7th overall VIkings get Adrian Peterson who will be a superstar. Wow.
  12. Maybe he really wants Geoff Jenkins or Shawn Green and he's just making a show of interest in Fukudome to get Jenkins/Green to lower their demands. Sadly, I can totally see Hendry go for both of them, especially Jenkins.
  13. One thing is for certain, he won't get 7 million.
  14. I'm actually enjoying watching Toews and kane play, well, not really on TV but mostly the highlights on NHL.com or yahoo.
  15. I don't think we get Kobe. The Bulls have no problems getting rid of Gordon but they won't get rid of Luol and that's what most people want. If us fans can see Gordon's deficiencies I'm sure NBA GM's can to. I just think it will be hard to come up with a deal to satisfy both parties.
  16. I still cannot believe we gave Marquis a 3/21 contract. Terrible.
  17. I wonder if the dodgers would give us Kemp for Pie?
  18. Thank God. That would have been a disaster and truthfully didn't make sense.
  19. Was she the one that was screaming OMG Clemens is back!!?
  20. I agree, I hope Rosenthal is really wrong here because NOBODY will offer us anything for Trachsel.
  21. Per Rosenthal from Foxsports.com the Cubs are going to pick up the options. Ward is a no-brainer but Trachsel WTF!? Rotoworld: FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal expects the Cubs to exercise their options on Steve Trachsel and Daryle Ward for 2008. Ward, owed $1.2 million next year, figured to have his picked up. However, it's a surprise that they'd want anything more to do with Trachsel, who was 1-3 with an 8.15 ERA after being picked up from the Orioles. They may figure he'd have some trade value at $4.75 million for 2008, but we're guessing they're wrong.
  22. If we could get Church I'd be happy, if we can also get Renteria, I would be very happy.
