It's a business move for me. He has had problems staying healthy along with imo, a steroid user. I just don't see him being better than an average pitcher from here on, if that. Hey, I may be wrong but that's my opinion. I know you're entitled to you opinion but come on a steroid user? I think his issues stem from being overused by Baker. It also didn't help his cause that he collided with Giles hurt his shoulder, and still stayed in the game to pitch. That's a no no and heads rolled because of that.

According to the score Kendall has agreed to a 2 year deal with the Brewers. This gets even better and better for us.

My friend and I were discussing Jones yesterday. I think his price will be too high but I would take a flier on him if the price was right and considering Boras is his agent, I doubt it.

Levine reported that Hendry is willing to give Matsui a 3 year deal to get it done. What is wrong with him? Why is this guy still employed!?! He's going to have a 120 mil payroll and we're not guaranteed SQUAT!

Yeah, I heard a minute or two of that. They were wondering why every player busted for steroids weren't being prosecuted. They brought up Mcgwire as a counterexample. I wanted to scream at them that steroids weren't the reason that Bonds is being prosecuted, it's that he lied about using them to a grand jury. Mcgwire never did that, nor did pretty much everybody on the Mitchell list (another thing they brought up wondering if the feds are going to go after all of them too). It was a really, really poor argument, actually worse than ESPN usually is. Was Palmeiro under oath when he denied using steroids? Then of course month later he got caught. -
Randy Johnson was pretty worthless for them too. And I sure hope he wasn't the GM who signed Russ Ortiz to that multi-year deal either.

Are you being serious? You're doubtful that Hendry would make a move like this? On the contrary, this smells exactly like a Hendry move, and of course this is after he traded for Infante.

The only way I see Matsui signed is to help Fukodome sign here and make the transition to the states easier. Why we traded for Infante, I have no idea but maybe as someone pointed out he could be traded to another team.
