Wilson certainly has been active on the Pac Rim since he took over: P Ryan Searle (Australia) - age 17 (signed last season) P Simon Lee (Korea) - age 23 (signed last season) P Hung-Wen Chen (Taiwan) - age 22 - $200,000 bonus OF Chih-Hsiang Wen (Taiwan) - age 22 P Dae-Eun Rhee (Korea) - age 18 - $810,000 bonus OF Hae-Seaung Kook (Korea) - age 18 (?) Also, Kook will join Rhee at instructs next week. Do you or anyone else knows what the upside of these players is? -

Something tells me that Lou will pitch Marquis over Hill in the playoffs. I would hate that. I have zero confidence in Marquis. Hill hasn't been good but I at least have more confidence in him over Marquis. I also hope Trachsel is done here. I don't want to see his face again.

Did the Cubs give up too much for Steve Trachsel?

This is typical Trachsel. I don't know if you guys were able to hear the Score play back an interview that he did with Mike North when he left from the Cubs, he was delusional then by saying his defense let him down and that's why his ERA was so bad. He calls out his defense and 2 minutes later he says he's a team player, the guy was full of it then, and is full of it now. He's a piece of crap. Before he was let go by the Cubs he went on the radio to complain that the Cubs wouldn't give him an extention that he thought he deserved (by losing close to 20 games). The guy is a complete tool.I'll tell you what though, Mike North got him good. He called him out on his "team player" BS. It was great. -

You can say that again. Considering the lineup the Reds are going to put out, if we don't make the playoffs we deserve it. Then again, with all these loses for the Brewers and 4 errors tonight, I think they are gift-wrapping one for us too.

Alan Matthews must be a Cubs fan, he has said a lot of positive things about our prospects. Let's hope he's right.

How many runs will Trachrap give up this inning? He gave up 1 in the 1st and 2 in the 2nd. Going for the trifecta?

If I was the Gm of this team, I would get the DFA papers, go into the dugout and give them to Trachsel personally and tell him to GTFO. Why does hendry trade for the most mediocre veterans he can find? Monroe, Trachsel, and Kendall? Jeez man, this is not funny. Hendry is lacking a brain.

Not only do I blame Hendry, but I blame Lou too. He knows Trachsel is terrible, yet he's still out there pitching the cubs to a loss. Trachsel wasn't good here the first time around, this time is no different, the guy is old and DONE! Screw you Hendry and Lou!

Kendall over Soto? Ridiculous. Kendall is terrible defensively and can't throw a runner to save his own life. Imagine how the pitcher will feel knowing that the person at first base can easily steal 2nd base and be in scoring position. I don't like this move by Lou, period.

You "might" give up Hill for Santana? I'd give any single player on the team for Johan. Yes, that includes Lee, Ramirez, Soriano and Zambrano. I'd probably add Pie and/or Marshall with anybody but Ramirez. Ok Hill + Pie. Do you think the Cubs have the talent to get him? I really suck at trade proposals. They will laught at you if you offer Hill and Pie. We have the talent to get him. -
Supposedly Capuano did well against the Braves the last time he pitched against them. Jo-Jo is also a lefty and the Brewers do good against lefty pitchers. I don't think this is going to be an easy loss for the Brew.
