    My expectations are set really really low for this year. Our offense might be the worst ever. Are we ever going to see a good QB in Chicago? But this year that's is one of many problems. Rookie RB, mediocre at best WR's, abysmal QB, and nonexistent offensive line.

    What does this have to do with Howry? They had 3 lefties in the pen, one needed to go and the decision was to DFA Eyre. Howry should be DFA'd too but that's another issue.

    Totally. We all knew it, the entire stadium sans Lou knew it. Lou's man love for Howry has cost us games.

    He's sucked since coming back? He pitched once in, what, two weeks? You would expect anyone to suck after not pitching for that long. How did he look in the minor leagues when rehabbing? If the Cubs felt he was still good they would have kept him.

    I don't feel bad for him at all. He had no problems accepting his player option and since he accepted he hasn't done squat for us.

    Eyre has been hurt all season and he's sucked since coming back from his recent injury. I'm glad he's gone.

    I would LOVE Milton Bradley. I was actually surprised Hendry never made a run at him when he was available for next to nothing. Our offense would be SICK with this guy.

    It's not looking good for Hill. He's totally lost it. Maybe it is best to shut him down for the year. Is he hiding some sort of injury?

    NO to Giles. He's old and has almost no power these days. DeJesus and Ibanez probably makes the most sense.

    People said the same thing about Matt Murton. Murton got traded because the Cubs also offered Gallagher in the deal. The point is he had value to the A's. It's not like Hendry said, ok I'll do the trade, but only on the condition that you take Murton off my hands. We don't know what his value was and he could have been a throw in. Comparing the Marquis situation with the Murton situation doesn't make much sense. The point is that the Murton haters(who were admittedly a weird bunch) said that nobody wanted Murton, that's why he was still in AAA. Now you're saying the same thing, that the only reason Marquis is on the team is because nobody wants him. You have next to nothing to back this up. Marquis is still here because no team wants him and his contract. Any team would take Murton and his contract.

    There's no doubt in my mind that if ANY team was interested in Marquis, he would have been gone loooong ago.
